S Pass minimum salary rises to $3,600 for new applications from January 2027

If you hold an S Pass, your salary will need to meet a higher minimum when your pass is renewed from January 2028.

MOM will raise the S Pass minimum qualifying salary from $3,300 to $3,600. In the financial services sector it rises from $3,800 to $4,000. The qualifying salary still increases with age, up to $5,100 for someone in their mid-40s. The new figures apply to new applications from 1 January 2027, and to renewal applications for passes expiring from 1 January 2028. If you hold an S Pass, ask your employer well before your renewal whether your salary will meet the new minimum, because a salary below it can affect whether your pass is renewed. This change does not apply to Work Permit holders.
